Made the poor dear stay in tonight, but don't feel too bad for him. Left him with a good 50 some odd pounds of hay to keep him entertained.
Here's something Bobbi posted on HC on a thread about the differences in hay cuttings-
Nobody refuses the June hay....well...except for Louvin (3 Stars Corc's new horse). "Mr. Thang" went from "Oh my goodness....HAY!!!" to " "got anything else to eat around here?" He reminds me of the evacuess from Hurricane Katrina in Texas. After being taken care of and fed daily....they began to refuse the sandwiches and asked if "Yall got any red beans around this place...we are sick of the sandwiches!" ----
Yep, sums up my horse pretty well. heheh.

Too bad we can't just ask them what they want to eat.
ReplyDeleteWait, wait, wait. Something just occurred to me! You post from Droid. Whyfor we have no videos? Lol. Easy upload to YouTube. ;)
ReplyDeleteI should get some videos... there just hasn't been much worth lookin at yet and its usually gettin dark when I'm actually doing anything with him. My am visits I try to keep as short as possible.
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't want the interwebz to misconstrue any of it. He still has a lot of weight to gain- but he needs to build muscle too. We know I'm not running him ragged (or even walk/trotting him ragged), but how many skinny horse being worked vids are on the net are legit like that? I don't want to be mistaken for a real trainwreck!
