Left the fly mask off for the afternoon when I brought him in. The spot it rubbed is healing- when I washed it, the scabby bits all came off. Not a bad thing, but the mask wouldn't feel good on that at all. His stall is pretty dark, so it shouldn't hurt his eye unless he manages to get dust or some other junk in it. Knock on wood.

I have noticed in the last 2 sets of pics that he looks like he is already picking up some weight. It may be a photographic illusion, but he looks better already

ReplyDeleteI think you're right, I've noticed it too. The bumps of his spine from hip on back aren't as prominent and his shoulder bones are disappearing too.
Amazing what feeding a horse will do, huh? And I haven't even gotten him to the full recommended ration of stratedy yet, though we're getting close to it now. I think it can be 99% attributed to the good grass/mountain of hay he's had in front of him round the clock. It ain't all that difficult to feed a durn horse!
