Horse was kept on her family's property by a husband and wife who were new to horses and clueless. Wife was scared of him because of his size, but they took him on trailrides, only at a walk, all the time. Her son rode the horse sometimes, and he can lope. These people got out of horses, sold him, and he left the property.
She went to a bbq at her friends house and saw him in the barn. He was in bad shape, so she found the woman who owned him and talked her into selling him to her for $300.
She's had him 2 months and he's improved a great deal. She's been feeding him two bales of hay each day along with stratedy.
